Innovative Pathology Services (IPS) is a full service Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Service located in East Tennessee and headquartered in Knoxville.  We are a group of 14 physicians representing a diverse association of subspecialties in the Pathology field.  Our services include both inpatient and outpatient services, including being the laboratory directors of 17 area medical centers and hospitals.  Our members serve the medical community on numerous committees and boards around the region. Examples of these hospital based committees include Medical Executive Committee , Cancer Committtee, Critical Care committee, and many others.  In addition, we are involved with Medic Regional Blood Center, serving on the Medical Directors Committee (current chairman) and on the Board of Directors.  Our members are involved as leaders of the community, volunteering in church leadership positions, participation in various ministries, coaching youth sports, and providing adult leadership in Scouting.  Several members are volunteer participants providing health care to underserved areas both within the United States and internationally.  Our goal is serving our patients, physician clients, and Medical Centers, providing excellent service, employing innovative tools and techniques, and being involved in our community.  Our commitment is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region.
