JAMES P. CRAIG, M.D.
Pathologist
James P. Craig, M.D. is a graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa. He completed his pathology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, M.D., following a pathology internship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Craig is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Craig is the Medical Director for the Summit Medical Group Central laboratory. He has a special interest in gynecologic pathology, fine needle aspiration cytology, and computer applications as well as imaging in pathology.

LAUREN F. CHILES, M.D.
Pathologist
Lauren F. Chiles, M.D. is a graduate of the East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. She completed her residency training followed by a cytopathology fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, K.Y. At Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, she completed a fellowship in surgical pathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. Dr. Chiles is the Medical Director for LaFollette Medical Center laboratory as well as for North Knoxville Medical Center laboratory.

FRANK J. BEUERLEIN, M.D.
Pathologist
Frank J. Beuerlein, M.D. is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical Pathology and in Cytopathology. Dr. Beuerlein is the Regional Laboratory Director for Tennova Healthcare, Director for Sweetwater Hospital Association laboratory, and chairman of Medic Regional Blood Centers Medical Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his pathology residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville following a rotating internship. Dr. Beuerlein has been listed on multiple occasions in Knoxville’s “Top Doctor” selections.
MICHAEL L. DYER, M.D.
Pathologist
Michael L. Dyer, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Dyer is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.


ARIANA CITABRIA HOLLEY, M.D.
Pathologist
Ariana Citabria Holley, M.D. is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. She completed her pathology residency, surgical pathology fellowship and her hematopathology fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Holley is board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. Dr. Holley is the Medical Director for LeConte Medical Center laboratory.

WILLIAM KONOMOS, M.D.
President and Pathologist
William Konomos, M.D. is board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. His particular interests include gynecologic and breast. Following an undergraduate degree from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering, he attended medical school at The Ohio State University and trained in Pathology at Indiana University/Methodist Hospital. Dr. Konomos is currently Medical Director of Fort Loudoun Medical Center laboratory and the Thompson Oncology Group Lenoir City laboratory.

VANDANA KUMAR, M.D.
Pathologist
Vandana Kumar, M.B.B.S. is a graduate of J.J.M. Medical College located in Davangere, India. She completed her residency in pathology in Chicago at the Metropolitan Group Hospital Residency program, including a PGY5 in pathology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Dr. Kumar also completed two fellowships while at the University of Kentucky Medical Center – one in Surgical Pathology and the other in Cytopathology. Current board certifications include combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. She is the current Laboratory Director of Jellico Medical Center, Big South Fork Medical Center and Faculty Internal Medicine.

ZACHARY T. LEWIS, M.D.
Pathologist
Zachary T. Lewis, M.D. is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty training and board certification in Hematopathology. Dr. Lewis graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Environmental Science and Mercer University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Residency and fellowship training followed at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Lewis was on the faculty for the Wake Forest University School of Medicine for one year and has special interest in flow cytometry. Dr. Lewis is the Medical Director for Fort Sanders Regional Hospital laboratory as well as the Solstas laboratory in Knoxville.

RICHARD SANCES, M.D.
Pathologist
Richard A. Sances II, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. He completed his pediatric residency training in Lexington, Kentucky at the University of Kentucky. After two years of private practice in pediatrics, he completed a pathology residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The following year he completed a pediatric pathology fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and also Pediatric Pathology.

Russell G. Tipton, M.D. is a graduate of The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He completed his residency in pathology at Emory University Department of Pathology in Atlanta, GA. He followed up with his Dermatopathology fellowship at Saint Louis University Department of Dermatology in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Tipton is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Tipton is the Medical Director at both the Thompson Oncology Group laboratories in Blount County and West Knoxville.

JEREMY G. VINCENT, M.D.
Pathologist
Jeremy G. Vincent, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Vincent has a special interest in Melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology. He is the Medical Director at Nautic Laboratory.

Michael L. Whitson, M.D. is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Tennessee’s College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee and completed pathology residency training at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Whitson currently serves as the Medical Director for Jefferson Memorial Hospital. His special interests include hematopathology, fine needle aspiration, cytopathology, and pulmonary pathology.
